05 Sep Venus Rising from the Sea…
…to Greet the Golden Dawn
September 6th, 2015
At last, the Venus retrograde is over. Her golden light has re-emerged though we still have a few weeks of that summertime sadness to sort through. In fact, the shadow period of this retrograde will last all the way until October 9th, as Venus delicately retraces the steps she made back into the sign of Leo. Aesthetically speaking, a shadow can dramatically enhance the beauty of any form if one has the eye to perceive the right angles. This is no less true of the experiences you will have as Venus re-emerges as the effervescent goddess of beauty and love, sparkling above as the morning star. Therefore, let this shadow period be a time to languorously reflect on the essence of beauty in your development..
“…Oh, my God, I feel it in the air
Telephone wires above are sizzling like a snare
Honey, I’m on fire, I feel it everywhere
Nothing scares me anymore…”-Summertime Sadness (Lana Del Rey)
There is a fearlessness you can embody as Venus goes direct again in Leo, for this path is not unknown and there is a light of wisdom behind your eyes. Over the next few weeks, you will recover your sense and sensuality, your rightful place within relationships, your sense of refinement, and your charm. You will soon be back in your own good graces.
Remember that whatever challenges to your ego that you have experienced since July have been part of the journey of self-mastery. Think of it this way. In a professional ballet class, whenever a student falls in the middle of a choreography, the class erupts into applause! This is not mocking, but is proud encouragement from a group who knows that this fallen student has just carved new muscle memory into the sinew of their legs. To fall is, in fact, the only way to stay on pointe!
So, whatever falls you may have taken during Venus’ retrograde this summer are cause for celebration! Your performance is undoubtedly improving!
