06 Mar Get High By the Beach ~ March 7th – 13th, 2016
This week, to say there is an emphasis on Piscean energy is an understatement. This week, the Sun (conscious focus), Moon (emotional instinct), Mercury (architecture of thought-forms), Venus (sensation), Neptune (window to the infinite), Chiron (collective focus for healing) and the South Node (significant lessons from the past) will all be converging in Pisces! The Total Solar ECLIPSE on Tuesday will offer such a cathartic impact that the energetic signature of this event will be hugely influential for at least the next six months.
If you are looking for a dramatic moment in your life to reach your arms out and fully embrace love, healing, freedom, joy, and/or creativity…this is SHOWTIME!
Eclipse energy is volatile. You may best benefit from its cleansing and refreshing power by readying yourself for new opportunities, new work, new friends and new adventures. Your work is to let go of impediments and bad habits so that you can start making progress once again.
This applies to any area of your life where you feel particularly frustrated, including relationships, money, creativity, family etc…Look at what house Pisces occupies on your natal chart for more insight on what you might be working on.
Do yourself a favor, and plan for a quiet meditative week where you can breathe deeply and totally succumb to the vision of the ocean tide reshaping the shorelines of your reality. Rest in the knowledge that whatever the sea takes away will be replaced by polished treasures of unimaginable beauty.
Offer your humble submission to gravitational pull and observe a grandiose performance of creation: titanic explosions crashing down into enormous ripples hardening into metamorphic forms, kissed all over by hissing foam, that final blessing of love…
“Boy, look at you, looking at me
I know you know how I feel
Loving you is hard, being here is harder
You take the wheel
I don’t wanna do this anymore
It’s so surreal, I can’t survive
If this is all that’s real…”

I. The Hanged Man II. Two of Swords III. Three of Pentacles
Monday/Tuesday: The Hanged Man
The beginning of the week brings the Solar Eclipse, which is also opposed to retrograde Jupiter in Virgo. This is no doubt going to create a powerful healing crisis. The reflexive relationship between the body, the mind, and the emotional experience will be undeniable at this time, giving you a clear connection to the true meaning of yoga. (yoking the body, mind, and spirit)
This potent revelation can set you on a much better path in a myriad of ways since it opens your consciousness to so much more knowledge about what is needed to soothe and nourish every aspect of your being. Don’t be surprised if you start taking much better care of your health after this week. Likewise, don’t be surprised if your health takes a sudden turn for the worse if you fail to heed these calls. Either way, the Hanged Man illustrates that you will be achieving gnosis through pain. How long that pain endures will be entirely up to you and your particular needs for spiritual growth.
“Boy look at you, looking at me
I know you don’t understand
You could be a bad motherfucker
But that don’t make you a man
Now you’re just another one of my problems
Because you got out of hand
We won’t survive
We’re sinking into the sand…”
The square between Jupiter in Virgo and Saturn in Sagittarius will arouse a restlessness and feeling of vulnerability. The stirring forces of nature that eclipse seasons summon forth may overwhelm you at times.
Fears and anxieties will form many ominous clouds on the horizon, but the only response should be to allow them to roll through you, eventually disappearing into the distance. The Hanged Man is after all suspended with no way to escape his sense of discomfort. With a little courage against these initial feelings, you will be a witness to rapid transmutation of terror into excitement and dread into anticipation.
“All I wanna do is get high by the beach
Get high by the beach, get high
All I wanna do is get by by the beach
Get by baby, baby, bye, bye…”
Wednesday/Thursday: Two of Swords
The Two of Swords bespeaks of the need to release mental chatter and summon a dialogue between instinct and intuition. This is a challenge to the part of you that naturally follows logic, calculates probability, and relies on past experiences for direction. Unfortunately, none of those routines will be helpful to you in the middle of the week since information and perception will become warbled and disoriented.
On Thursday, the Sun conjuncts Chiron in Pisces, bringing a lot of emotional pain to the surface of your consciousness. Imagine yourself wincing at first, but learning to breathe and relax it away. If it is somebody else’s pain you are feeling, there will still be a heightened emotionality and the need for extra comfort.
What makes everything suddenly so strange is that Mercury will also be conjuncting Neptune that day, giving you a profound vision of the mythopoeic. Resistance is futile. Give in to the imagination. Give in to daydreaming…get lost in a haze, get lost in a maze…get high by the beach….but don’t try to make big decisions about mundane life. This is a day of envisioning and healing… crying and creating.
“Lights, camera, acción
I’ll do it on my own
Don’t need your money, money
To get me what I want…”
Friday/ Saturday/ Sunday: The Three of Pentacles
On Friday, the Sun in Pisces will oppose the North Node in Virgo at 21 degrees. Some kind of offering will be made to you on this day that will be the medicine you need. (medicine in this instance is hardly restricted to the category of supplements or pharmaceuticals.)
This medicine may come in the form of words spoken that you need to hear. It may be the sight of a hawk circling the sky above you, making your spirit soar! It may be a hug that you need or a movie that speaks to your soul. All you have to do is be open to receiving and it will find you.
After Venus’ time in Aquarius, the sensual side of life may have gotten a little too theoretical to offer much pleasure. Thankfully, on Saturday, March 12th, Venus moves into Pisces, the sign of her exaltation!
Here you will feel a lovely sea-change in the ambiance of your life. Whatever tension and melodrama you may still be acting out will go into soft focus, giving everything a glistening aura and glowing radiance.
Venus traditionally rules the signs of Taurus and Libra, but she is exalted (and therefore most glorified) in Pisces! Why? Because Venus is delighted to return to the legendary place of her birth, the deep blue sea.
Hail Venus Anadyomene!
Sea foam and endless water are her place of origin, where she is transformed into the omnipresent Titanic Goddess once again.
And when Venus enters the first decan (10 degrees) of Pisces, she offers you a chance to soften the scars of maligned love and heartbreak.
Venus will cool any burns that the eclipse may have given you and she will continue her work in Pisces to help you heal your broken heart…forever. She cultivates the gifts of experience but harbors no permanent injuries. She allows harsh speech, but gives it no power to curse you. After this week, you may find yourself easily walking in beauty and devoting yourself to love once again.
“Everyone can start again
Not through love but through revenge
Through the fire, we’re born again
Peace by vengeance
Brings the end”
