A Better Fate Than Wisdom ~ March 28th – April 3rd, 2016

since feeling is first

since feeling is first

who pays any attention

to the syntax of things

will never wholly kiss you;

wholly to be a fool

while Spring is in the world

my blood approves,

and kisses are a better fate

than wisdom

lady i swear by all flowers. Don’t cry

—the best gesture of my brain is less than

your eyelids’ flutter which says

we are for each other: then

laugh, leaning back in my arms

for life’s not a paragraph

And death i think is no parenthesis

This week will feel much more like an e e cummings poem: sparse punctuation, yet filled with sentimentality, humor, and percolating wisdom that inspires. Considering that last week heralded a lunar eclipse and the pastel splendor of Easter/Ostara, this week will surely feel more muted and contemplative. . .

On Monday, the waning Moon will be traveling through Sagittarius, nurturing the primacy of feeling. As the Moon conjuncts Mars, a receptive alertness will be initiated, giving you some focus in regard to ruminating about the recent lunar eclipse.

Though the transformation ignited by the eclipses in March may take some time to reveal itself, on Monday you will be brought in touch with a sense of purpose.

Now that Saturn is in retrograde, there may be an urge to pay less attention to the syntax of things. This will become apparent when Mercury in Aries trines Saturn on Tuesday, which will prompt you to find the virtue in using more improvisation to liven up your thinking.

When Saturn is in retrograde, things do slow down, but there is more opportunity to seek a dynamic rediscovery of the energies that you have long sealed up in convention. On this same day, Venus in Pisces will oppose the North Node in Virgo, representing an astrological dialogue that finally succumbs to the notion that. . .

kisses are a better fate than wisdom

While Spring is in the air… your devouring lust for life will leave you dizzy with intoxication of the senses. On Wednesday, Venus in Pisces conjuncts Chiron, opening you up to a primal scream that cries to be loved simply for love’s sake.

As Mercury in Aries squares Pluto in Capricorn, you will feel driven to express the intensity of these feelings, perhaps declaring your love or declaring your hate…wholly to be a fool

The lunar eclipse demolished something in your world so that you could find the mind to reinvent yourself. On Thursday, Mercury will ease up on the square with Pluto and make a conjunction to Uranus.

This represents a sanctified stirring of the mind, as the liberating force of revolution (Uranus)  meets the vehicle of intelligence (Mercury). And with Saturn in retrograde, there is very little to stand in your way if you are inspired to change course and profoundly innovate your life.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday require no astrological capitalization to describe and with such a muted quality to the weekend, you may allow the blossoming fragrance of spring to simply attune you to the wondrous beauty in the world. . . lady i swear by all flowers

March to April Reading

Monday/Tuesday: The Two of Swords

—the best gesture of my brain is less than

your eyelids’ flutter which says

we are for each other:

These are days where the racing intellect will recede into the background. In quiet contemplation,  you will be offered a chance to find the balance between extreme polarities. Let your eyelids flutter in surrender to the inner world of poetic genius.

As you allow image to subvert language, you will realize that life is not always an either / or scenario. Allow your mind to be as a still pond, that has no ripples and follows no current. With eyes closed and quiet mind, you may simply feel your way to your rightful place in the sun.

Wednesday/Thursday: The Knight of Cups

then laugh, leaning back in my arms

little girl flowers

As a baby, you began to laugh before you ever began to speak. These ebullient outbursts of pure joy and mirth are a surrender to the ten thousand things which amuse, beguile and devastate you. As Mercury aspects both Pluto and Uranus in the middle of the week, try to keep up with the evolution of your thoughts by laughing.

Let that laughter dissolve your rigidity and let your genius shine through. Laughing will mean that you are opening yourself up to discordant experience and that you are willing to learn a new lesson from life’s inherent absurdity. Isn’t it absurd to fall madly in love? Isn’t it even more ridiculous how serious you can be sometimes?

Friday/Saturday/Sunday: The Two of Wands

for life’s not a paragraph

The waning Moon will traverse the sign of Aquarius over the weekend and the whispering voices of ancestors and angels will be subliminally received. You will feel moved to break out of the linguistic cages that your consciousness is confined in. There is much more to life than what your language can define…that qualia…that je ne sais quoi…that mysterium tremendum

The two of wands shows that this weekend will be a perfect time to be filled with the warm heart blood of spring, diverging from your best laid plans to follow your truly inspired feelings, inclinations, and intuitions. These days are lit up by poetry and have wide windows opened up to the eternal. With such a glorious view of the infinite before you, courage and faith become the only perceivable reality.

And death i think is no parenthesis
